Certified Municipal Revenue Professional (CMRP) designation
Certified Municipal Revenue Professional (CMRP) designation is the highest standing available to municipal tax or revenue collection professionals in Ontario.
Why become a CMRP?
CMRP is the highest standing available to a municipal tax or revenue collection specialist in the province—a mark of distinction recognized and respected by municipal employers throughout Ontario. Holding CMRP status can open up career and other professional opportunities, and is regarded with esteem by others working in the sector.
You may receive one of two CMRP designations:
- Certified Municipal Revenue Professional
- Certified Municipal Revenue Professional (Associate)
If you are awarded Associate status, OMTRA provides direction on how to advance to full CMRP status.
How do I become a CMRP?
OMTRA awards CMRP standing to individuals who have demonstrated substantial knowledge, expertise and responsibility in their roles, commitment to their professions and their communities. You must have completed the Municipal Tax Administration Program (MTAP) and have been an OMTRA member for two years or more. For the complete Guidelines and Application package, please click CMRP Guidelines & Application for Accreditation.
OMTRA’s Accreditation Committee assesses all applications for CMRP designation. Recipients are honoured at the association’s annual general meeting.
